"Jennie Hirst - Dot Tit Dot"

This piece is inspired by the well known work by Damien Hirst, who created dot series in 1986. My interpretation is a cheeky response to how the art world is overtly justified by marketing hype, consortiums, controversy, and men. While art should provoke thoughts and feelings, good or bad, the same rules do not apply for men vs women. A study made by Helen Gorrill found that for every £1 a male artist earns for his work, a woman earns a mere 10p, yet 70% of art students are women.

This is my hypothetical hijack and takeover, letting our presence be known because women are coming for the top, nipple ban or not. Namaste!
